All students, parents, or teachers from Cherokee and Teasley and any Cherokee bound student at Freedom can join the team.
Freedom Middle School
No Tryouts
There are no tryouts for the team. We want anyone from 6th to 12th grade with an interest in biking to join. Races are optional.
Participation Fees
$170
Team Dues
Team Dues include a team kit (jersey and team shirt) and snacks and drinks for practice.

Georgia Cycling Association Dues
To be eligible to participate in team activities, every rider must register with the Georgia Cycling Association and pay their dues. Dues cover fees such as insurance, registration fulfillment, staffing, and more. Registration begins April 1 using the link below.
Race Series Fees
Racing is not required. Riders can just enjoy riding at practice or can participate in as many races as they want.

Loaner Bike Program
New to biking and want to try it before purchasing a bike? We can help! Please contact us about using one of the team’s loaner bikes!
Georgia Cycling Association also offers a financial assistance program for riders.
Coaches
The Cherokee Warriors Mountain Bike Team has been empowering students at Cherokee High School for over ten years, offering a supportive atmosphere for athletes in grades 6th - 12th. Led by head coach Mario Sanchez and team director Bethany Griffin, the club promotes a love for cycling, teamwork, and perseverance, with the help of certified volunteer coaches. Open to both experienced cyclists and newcomers, the team invites all students to join in the excitement of mountain biking while forming lasting friendships.
